News18: Latest & Breaking News App Reviews

I have been great fan of this app, decent headlines, sufficient information. I get all headlines in no time( thanks to old UI ). The latest update on UI took the two stars away:( They have introduced two scrolls after you select an article, the photo & title remain there most of the time with little to scroll and the second scroll to scroll thru the content. This is a mobile app, real estate is more important. What were you thinking putting something static and using only half of the screen to present actual content I dont want to do that. I might be not the only customer, but rethink the user story. Until then I have to search for another app.

It has been a good app for news but the latest version has the sound for the notification which is not comfortable, sometimes annoying. If it has to be should have have planned a smaller one kind of a beep or two beeps length, definitely not as long as it is now. Need a sound ON/OFF in the app settings.

Please please change the notification sound ..I keep my phone in silent mode just so that I dont hear your notification sound .. Else very good app

This is one of the crappiest apps for such a big news company. The only reason I turn to the NDTV app is because your app is not well designed. Its irritating to scroll thru each section to check other top news. More importantly, your Auto Section has never loaded successfully ever!! Regardless if the version. Fix it guys!!

Pls disable the Alert tone.

Landscape mode for iphone missing. Noise of ads. Need a good upgrade immediately.

This version of the app is pretty bad. The videos cant move to landscape mode so you are stuck watching it holding the phone horizontal instead of vertical. Fix it guys

Pop up ads running full screen, ads that run in background, sound ads, flash ads, video ads what not... For some news.

Seriously?? Video ads forced to readers?? Horribly designed app has now new nuisance to deal with as if lack of intuitiveness was not enough. I have to mute my phone every time I use this app. What a shame on otherwise good news channel. Please dont have school kids developing this app.

I used to love reading here but now Everytime i open this app there is this background music from the add... Are you serious?? Now do i have to listens to your ad to read news??

if i could i like to give 0.5 star to this app. not clear sound. news is always one sided. reports are look like paid reporter.

Sound comes out of no where as soon as you open the app. I deleted this app as I cant open it on my bed when my kid sleeps. Scrolling sideways for news items is a pain. Even the scrolling is not intuitive. You have to move your finger horizontally across the screen without going up or down, else it wont work. Annoying app. I love the NDTV app. Good bye CNN.

Very annoying to open the app and some weird advertisement sound is playing .

I was holding back on writing a review but just couldnt anymore This app is one of the most unprofessional news app on iTunes. The notifications are absolutely irritating and seems its managed by a 15 year old. Highly unprofessional journalistic standards.. Especially during cricket matches. Words like " GONE" "CATCH" "DESTROYED" ?? Really?? Your a news channel- and notifications should be given only for breaking news, not like a over zealous adolescent teenager . Not every indian is a Cricket fan( YES SHOCKING) I am gonna delete this app. Very unprofessional and no standards as compared to other international apps out there

Rajdeep Sardesai & co. appear to have the goal of making as much money off of a news channel and its app. This app needs less ads, non-microscopic fonts, and a nuisance-control button as well as quality control over misreporting of news and subsequent retractions - something they indulge in rather shamelessly. Ps: whats the breaking newsworthiness of an insipid comment by Modi as this - "I have been a back room person, I understand the nitty gritty of elections." - Lots of room for improvement if they pay heed to readers reviews at all.

Agree with other reviews! This is one of the pathetic apps out there. Only thing works is ads. live tv worked but the excitement didnt last long, phone went in sleep mode while app was on and playing news.. seriously? Isnt that basic thing that one should look?

All, If u are running ibnlive app in ur iPhone u can notice ur battery is going down fastly because they run some ads in the background to make money. Also they are running an audio ads in the background while reading news which is annoying . Sometime the app reduce the volume automatically and run the audio ads and once the audio app is finished volume will be back . I didnt expect company like ibnlive will behave so cheaply for making money

This app is crappy because some features dont work Most baised news ever seen, its The Family run paper ... If u get what i mean ... I.e sonia & co...

Are you kidding me Rajdeep and company? You want to force me to watch audio and video advertisements that too on cost of my data plan? Nope, its not gonna happen, deleting it right now!
